Safety Critical Welding; BS EN 15085-2, Class 1 Following a recent audit by TWI, assessing our welding quality management system we are proud to announce that we have successfully been re-issued with continued certification for safety critical welding of railway vehicles in accordance with BS EN 15085-2 at Class 1 level. As part of our assessment we identified that the field of application was not a clear representation of our capabilities and as such this has now been updated to be: "Design and manufacture of components for internal and external application, fabrication and welding of stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminium structures, new build, rebuild and repair, with design." Our welding operations are a core part of Lordgate's business and certification to BS EN 15085-2 provides us the ability to weld components that our competitors cannot.
